About the Coffee Farm:
The Kabngetuny Farmers Co-operative was registered in 1985. The Co-operative is located in Kericho County in the Rift Valley at an altitude of 2000m above sea level. It is surrounded by the Nandi Hills and the Mau Forest, which is the largest indigenous forest in East Africa.
Kabngetuny is one of the first co-operatives to incorporate gender mainstreaming within its operations. The initiative has seen women transferred full ownership of land and coffee trees. They are completely in charge of their own production and harvest that is unique in Kenya.
